New Delhi [India], Dec 5 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Wednesday ordered the attachment of Amrapali's 5-star hotel, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company, corporate office, and malls.
A two-judge bench, headed by Justice Arun Misra, and also comprising Justice Uday Umesh Lalit, directed the Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT) to sell Amrapali's properties.
Last month, the apex court had ordered the attachment of a multi-specialty hospital owned by the group in Greater Noida, a tower in Noida where the group's office is located and a 'benami' villa in Goa.
The apex court is hearing a batch of pleas filed by flat buyers who have sought quashing of the September 4 last year's National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) order and said the moratorium imposed under the provisions of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, is violative of Article 14 (equality before law) of the Constitution.
